OLD FAR WEST was the special box packaging made by EXIN of Spain for its first introduction in the USA by FAO SCHWARTZ Toys of New York. This was in 1975. They continued to sell EXIN WEST until the early 1980's. By the late 70's the main USA EXIN distributor was FNR International. You'll find EXIN WEST sold under these names:

Another note regarding EXIN'S USA "OLD FAR WEST" is that the ones I have are entirely printed in English....FAO SCHWARTZ was the only toy dealer to have these I believe-they were probably made especially for the introduction to the U.S. market. FAO SWARTS was until late 1990's the biggest import toy dealer in the U.S.A. having started in the 1860's!!

I am not sure where EXINWEST was sold in SPAIN or other countries, but here in the United States, EXINWEST & EXIN CASTLES were sold only in very expensive toy stores and import specialty stores. In 1979 my EXINWEST character sets and wagon sets sold for $9.98 (in 1979) that was very expensive at that time. In 1981, my EXINWEST Tavern & Barber was purchased at Disneyland.........it cost $38.50!!!!! That is probably about $65.00 US Dollars today They were also hard to find. Some places in the early 1980's sold the figure and wagon sets for about $7.00 US Dollars each.

EXINWEST & EXIN CASTLE Distributors in USA

Sadly the USA is in another very bad economy and I suspect it will be sometime before we see EXINWEST & EXIN CASTLES in production again. But let us hope!!!!

Éste es un tema que estaba un poco olvidado pero es bueno recordarlo.
Hoy, buscando y ordenando entre mis piezas-cajas-instrucciones, descubrí que poseo ésto:



Son las instrucciones de Exinwest denominada OLD FAR WEST.
Como podéis ver en la parte inferior pone: MADE IN SPAIN by EXIN-LINES BROS S.A. Barcelona

Así que está claro que se fabricó para su venta a nivel internacional y hemos desvelado el "misterio" de éstas cajas
